Leeuwin-Naturaliste
The Leeuwin - Naturaliste Coalseam Methane Project area lies within Permian strata on the elongate north-south trending fault-bounded Treeton Terrace, which abuts the Leeuwin Block to the west . To the west, on the upthrown side of the Dunsborough Fault, are the crystalline rocks of the Leeuwin Complex (the site of the towns of Yallingup, Cowaramup, Margaret River and parts of Augusta).
The Permian strata to the east of the Leeuwin Block contains the Sue river coal measures which are know to occur at shallow depths near the fault and greater depths as in the east. A number of distinct terraces or fault blocks occur in the area and the Sue River Coal Measures occur at differing depths within these blocks. The Permian Sue Group coals are the target of the Company's exploration.

Yelverton Drilling Reservation
The Drilling Reservation (DR) is approximately 142 square kilometres in size and located some 14 km west of Busselton has now been converted to a Special Prospecting Authority (SPA). Land use is mainly rural with some small settlements along the Bussel Highway. Significant coal deposits have been recorded in the area by previous mineral explorers. The area is held by Red Mountain Energy Pty Ltd and is farmed out to Westralian Gas and Power Limited.
Treeton DR8
The Special Prospecting Authority (SPA) approximately 142 square kilometres in size and adjoins the Yelverton DR to the west has now been converted to a Drilling Reservation (DR). The coal measures noted in Yelverton extend into the DR and have been documented by mineral exploration drilling. The area is held by Red Mountain Energy Pty Ltd and is farmed out to Westralian Gas and Power Limited. The operator is planning a 15km seismic survey prior to drilling its first well in the area.
Vasse Special Prospecting Authority
The SPA is approximately 142 square kilometers in extent and covers the area west from Busselton to Dunsborough and adjoins the Yelverton SPA and Treeton DR. The area is held by Red Mountain Energy Pty Ltd and is farmed out to Westralian Gas and Power Limited. Also known to have significant coal reserves at shallow depths, the area will shortly be converted to a Drilling Reservation (DR).
Margaret River Exploration Permit
The area is situated to the east of the town of Margaret River and is approximately 355 square kilometres in extent. Land use is mainly agricultural with some tourist accommodation and craft industries. The town of Margaret River is a region centre and offers good communications and services. Again significant coals at shallow depths have been recorded in the eastern portion of the tenement. Westralian Gas and Power Limited has farmed into the area, recorded a seismic survey and delineated a drilling target for mid 2007.
Augusta Exploration Permit
The area is located between Margaret River and Augusta and covers approximately 500 square kilometers. The permit has been drilled by oil explores in the past and coals of significant thickness have been reported by these explorers. The Permit has been farmed out by Red Mountain Energy Pty Ltd to Westralian Gas and Power Ltd. Westralian Gas and Power anticipates recording seismic in the area in May of 2007 followed by drilling in 2008.
COLLIE / WILGA BASIN
The two areas are located over and south of the town of Collie and comprise approximately 425 and 280 square kilometers. The areas are known coalfields and have significant thicknesses of coal. Seismic will be recorded in the area during January and February 2005. Following the seismic the Company will apply to have the area converted into a Drilling Reservation. The areas have never been tested for their coalseam methane potential and the farminee, Westralian Gas and Power Limited, will test this possibility. Further the area offers the opportunity to test the geological section as a possible carbon sequestration pilot area as it is located close to the states only coal fired power stations. Westralian Gas and Power Limited will acquire 50% of the permit on completion of its farmin obligations.
ENEABBA/GREENOUGH, NORTH PERTH BASIN
Eneabba
Westralian Gas and Power Limited has applied for a Drilling Reservation (DR) over approximately 210 square kilometres of prospective ground over the town of Eneabba and also 420 square kilometres in the form of an Exploration Permit (EP) south of Eneabba in the North Perth Basin. The area is located east of the Woodada Gas Field. The area is believed to lie over significant shallow coals of the Cattamarra Coal Measures as documented by previous petroleum exploration in the area. The Company will record a seismic program in 2007 - 2008 subject to approvals being granted by the Western Australian Department of Industry and Resources.
ENEABBA/GREENOUGH, NORTH PERTH BASIN
Greenough Special prospecting Authority
Westralian Gas and Power Limited has applied to convert its Special Prospecting Authority (SPA) of approximately 2350 square kilometres east of Geraldton in the North Perth Basin to an Exploration Permit (EP). The area has been drilled by previous oil and gas explorers who have recorded Permian coals at shallow depths within the area of interest. The Company has recently joint ventured the area to Eneabba Gas Limited, Eneabba's rights extend only to any coal seam methane contained in the area and not to any conventional hydrocarbons.
