ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

Westralian Gas & Power has a proactive approach to managing its drill sites in respect of both safety and environmental issues.

The Company maintains an active policing of environmental issues at all of its exploration locations.

Field crews are required to strictly adhere to the Company’s Operations Manual which includes clear environmental guidelines.

Both CALM (Conservation & Land Management) and EPA (Environmental Protection Authority) have assessed the Group’s seismic operations methods and both these government bodies have accepted the Company’s field management and environmental management plans.

In addition, if WGP is able to move ahead with a geosequestration (capture and burial of carbon dioxide) it will become an important player in reducing Australia’s greenhouse emissions.
